Gift of Life is pleased to support DonateLife in acknowledging the important role played by organ and tissue donors and their families. A national day of recognition is being held on Sunday 19 November 2017.
Each year the lives of hundreds of Australians are saved and transformed through the generosity of living and deceased organ and tissue donors and their families that have agreed to donation.
Australians of all ages, faith and cultural backgrounds could one day be in need of an organ transplant. DonateLife Thank you Day is an opportunity for the Australian community collectively to say “thank you” to the individuals and families whose stories inspire us all to register on the Australian Organ Donor Register after discussing that decision with family and friends.
You can demonstrate your support by sending a social media “thank you message” following the advice provided on the DonateLife website donatelife.gov.au or by signing onto the Australian Organ Donor Register and sharing that decision with your family and friends.
